TIME: 9 PM PLACE: 4200 Block of Commonwealth Description: Robbery. Victim was walking from her car when a teen grabbed her from behind and forced her to the back of her house. Very soon three other teens arrived. At that moment a neighbor, for no other reason than "God told me to go to the door," stepped out on his front porch and saw the three teens run between the houses. He ran to his back door and shouted. The four teens took off running south on Commonwealth, east on Willis, north on Lincoln. WSU police were called and came quickly. The woman's book bag was recovered. She lost her purse and cell phone. The WSU police encouraged being called for such immediate situations. We have heard that before this encounter 2 other neighbors were followed by four teens, felt threatened and ran for their houses. Earlier in the week another neighbor reported seeing four teens walking toward the Gd River/Avery gas station and soon after they ran back carrying a red purse.

TIME: 11:00PM PLACE: Warren Boy Scout Lot Description: Armed Robbery. A friend and I were walking west on Warren at about 11:00PM toward the CAID art gallery, which was having a music festival that night (7/18). We had already been there earlier, but we left so my friend could get a jacket from his house on Forest and 2nd, and were returning. We decided to cut through the Boy Scouts center, and stopped to look at the illuminated columns in front of the entrance. This was a very bad place to be standing, because the columns form a little cove with a semi-circle of trees, and you can't see the area from the street. I was taking a photo of an inscription on one of the columns with my phone when I heard my friend shout "I don't have any money!" I looked over from my phone and a young black boy in a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, around age 16-20, approx. 5'6"-5'8" with a small build, was pointing a gun at me. It was hard to see but it appeared to be a small black revolver. He said "Put it down," so I put my phone on the ground, and a second boy came around from behind to pick it up. He ordered me not to look so I stared at the ground, but I caught a glimpse of him as he bent down in front of me to grab my phone. He was also black, around the same age, same build, possibly even shorter, and was wearing a black doo-rag. The boy with the gun then ordered us to take our pants off, saying "You've got 5 seconds." We took them off, and they told us to walk away east on Warren, which we did. It was all over in about 10 seconds.
TIME: 4:00AM PLACE: 4762 Avery st. Description: Attempted home invasion. My wife and I have lived in the neighborhood for about four years... love it. Unfortunately we had someone try to climb into our bedroom window last night (or early this morning i should say) 5/13, 4am @ 4762 Avery st., The intruder was either unaware or unconcerned with our presence, and obtained a chair from our back patio set, using it to climb to our bedroom window and begin removing the screen/storm window... I peered out and observed this and, only two feet from my face was a black male, mostly a silhouette against the shining motion light. I was able to startle him by banging my hands violently against the window, he jumped down and ran out towards Avery st., I took my dog outside a few minutes after he ran and all was still again. This guy was either really stupid or really bold. Either way, I will keep you posted if anything else surfaces.

A white male of medium build, dressed in black got out of the SUV with a long gun and told her "I want your car". She exited the vehicle and her car was driven off south on Commonwealth then east on Hancock. She left her purse in the vehicle. The vehicle was found on April 23 badly damaged. and is a total loss. Her driver's license was put in her mail slot at 4800 on 4/23 . Written on the back of her license were the words, "I'll be seeing you". I talked to my tenant and she was glad that she had separated her apartment keys and vehicle keys so the assailant did not get her house keys. She also said that she put herself in a vulnerable position by walking in front of the Black SUV.

The student states he went to the ATM machine outside the Olympic Grill and observed the below described subject standing next to him. The student felt uneasy and began to walk away from the ATM. The subject followed him, asking for money. As the student approached the mouth of the alley next to the old Psychology building, the subject raised his coat and displayed a black colored handgun. The subject stated, "Go back to the ATM and take out $500.00, do not make a call and do not run". The student returned to the ATM machine (while the subject watched him from the alley) and withdrew $300.00. He then walked back to the subject and gave him the money.
