TRUMBULL SPRING CLEAN-UP!


Grab your rakes and gloves and come join us for a bit of spring cleaning on Trumbull! Community residents and members from the AmeriCorps Midtown Urban Safety Project and the Wayne State Center for Urban Studies will be picking up trash, raking old leaves, and clearing debris from the sidewalks and open lots on the Woodbridge section of Trumbull Avenue (from I-94 to Grand River). Come out and help keep Woodbridge beautiful! Light refreshments will be provided for volunteers.

Dog Patrol


Dog Walk

Help reduce crime in Woodbridge by walking your dog. We want everyone with dogs to help patrol the neighborhood while you walk your dog. Invite your dogless friends and neighbors along. This will help deter crime by showing criminals that we are watching.

Dog Patrol Tips


  • Carry your cell phone in case you need to call for help and report a crime at 911 or 313-577-2222 for Wayne State Police

  • Carry pen and paper to write down descriptions and license plate numbers

  • Walk with a partner


About Safe In Woodbridge


Safe in Woodbridge was created by concerned residents and property owners to discourage crime in the Woodbridge neighborhood. At the moment, SIW is focused on creating community, sharing information, and developing connections with the police department to reduce crime and vandalism. Future plans may include a neighborhood watch or CB patrol.

Any member of the community or those with an interest in the community are welcome at meetings, check this Web sites bulletin board section for dates and location or send us an Email siwdetroit@gmail.com to verify the date and location.
